500 Unreachable Islands
Dreaming is a human activity, but if machines could dream, what would the images generated by their "unconscious" be like? A series of 500 photographs representing people, places, flora and fauna of many islands spread all over the world, will be the database of collective experiences used as a starting point for the production of an audiovisual work of art realized through generative algorithms. The viewer is immersed in a story told through images of hypothetical, impossible islands, and therefore unreachable, generated with pictorial qualities by software. Their synthetic nature obliges the spectator to complete, with his own imaginative activity, the picture itself, following the "oniric" activity of the machine.
